Bogong

It's weird I know, but I love the fact it's Bogong moth season. Growing up in Tassie Bogong was one of those words that had a mythos about it - something magic and ancient and very Aussie in experience.. and so I now think it's so cool. I may be the only one ;)

not the only one :-) Bogongs are a bit annoying some times when they fly into your face, but they're so funky!

ask Coz what she called them once, and will be forever reminded of same ;-)

I like them as well. Something about the occurence of annual cycles makes me happy, and the bogong migration is one of those cycles. It's natural, it's normal and it should be revelled in.

The woman in the lift this morning that was complaining about it got me a bit tetchy. So, some bugs are flying through our city, that we happened to site on their migratory route. I bet she's one of those people that can't stand a bit of dirt, or wouldn't climb a tree, or any of the fun things in life.
